about

CD's and Vinyl Pre-Sales Coming Soon!

From Robert Holmes:

It felt like a real challenge when we started on this album! How could we make it an appropriate extension and follow up to the prior warmly received "Sequel", while still offering something new and interesting.
I began to focus on three approaches:

Firstly, to try and include a reunion recording that would include Raleigh and all The Scarlet Furies, who had not played together for over 10 years. Secondly, I wanted to try and create more opportunities for guest Artists to be a part of the songs, and to have more of the songs be guitar based in their foundations. Lastly, knowing the wonderful sound design and composing skills of my friend George Napier, I thought it would be very cool to inject periodic interludes or soundscapes to give the album more a feeling of an experience or journey. His approach to experiential sound design and elements adds a whole new language to this work.

I'm so happy that we were able to achieve all these goals, hopefully resulting in 20 tracks of diverse and emotional musical connections for the listener. A very heartfelt thank you to all the very talented folks involved in the making of the album, and to the wonderful fans and Kickstarter supporters who once again made the project possible!

From George Napier:

It was a great experience working with Robert on Son of Sequel. We wanted to blend our disparate styles into a broad, yet interconnected musical journey. Robert's beautiful guitar-and keyboard- driven tracks provide a grounding in classic rock, while my contributions help to create an expansive and introspective ambient tapestry. Together the tracks are an exploration of contrast and unity in music...a “narrative of convergence.” Hopefully we have created a broad yet cohesive listening journey for you. Thank you to everyone who helped to make Son of Sequel possible!
